Do you already know the Typing by Voice menu provided by Google Documents? If not, it looks like you should try this feature immediately.
Typing by Voice is the latest and amazing innovation from the giant Google Company. Where users no longer need to type using the keyboard as in general when working on written documents.
With the presence of Typing by Voice on the Google Document service, writing activities are now limited to speech-to-text or typing using voice. This breakthrough was made to facilitate and provide convenience for its users.
At first glance, Typing by Voice is very similar to Apple Siri, Microsoft Cortana, and Google Assistant. However, the specialty of this feature is that it can understand and take long sentences to be directly placed on the type of document being worked on.
Google has also prepared standard settings for 48 languages that the Typing by Voice system can understand. Apart from that, this feature can also instantly check for typing or typographic errors in the document.
This feature can clearly lighten your work while doing typing activities both on a laptop or computer. Here's how to easily use the Typing by Voice feature in Google Docs.
Plug and Enable Microphone On Laptop
To use voice typing, first make sure your computer or laptop microphone is on and working. Typically, the configuration of the microphone and the device used will be different. So check the microphone settings in System Preferences on a Mac, or Control Panel on a PC.
Trying to Launch Using Voice Typing
If the microphone is already plugged in and the settings on the device are set up, then follow these steps:
• Open Google Document with Google Chrome.
• Click on the Tools menu bar and then select the Typing by Voice option. Later the microphone box icon will appear to support this feature.
• When you are ready to speak for the typing process, click the microphone icon.
• Speak clearly, at normal volume and speed.
• When finished, click the microphone icon again
Correcting Typing or Spelling Errors
If an error occurs while typing using voice, you need to move the cursor to the location of the error and correct it without turning off the microphone. It remains only to rephrase the correct word or sentence for the errors in the document.
Another way that you can use is to view the list of suggestions by right-clicking on the words underlined in gray. Later on the cursor will display suggestions for improving the analysis results from the Google Document.
